Tate as acquired RASAD by Britto Arts Trust, an installation drawing on the architecture of Bangladeshi street markets. First shown at documenta fifteen in 2022, the work explores intersections of food, land, displacement, and cultural memory. The work is currently on view at Tate Modern.
In connection with its presentation at Tate, Britto Arts Trust activated its social kitchen, Pakghor, as part of Like Spores, We Spread. The event was organised by the Hyundai Tate Research Centre: Transnational in collaboration with the Laboratoire d’art et de recherche décoloniaux (LabARD) at the Université du Québec à Montréal, with additional support from the Canada Research Chair in Decolonial Artistic Practices, Samdani Art Foundation and Fluxus Art Projects.
